Carla Welker, LCSW
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER, CERTIFIED ALCOHOL & DRUG ADDICTION COUNSELOR 1
Welcome! And thank you for your interest in counseling.
The foundation of my counseling work is the belief that you hold the answers to your own life and situation. Answers are buried by life stressors, insecurity, anxiety/depression, and others’ needs. My goals are to explore what is going on in your life, help you find the meaning(s) of your experience, and how you want to integrate your insights and move forward. Explore the pages about my practice and call me at 503-720-3336 with questions and to set an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you!
**I recently had the opportunity to participate in an offering from the Zen Community of Oregon called: Awakening to Whiteness: Using the Dharma to Dismantle Oppression. It is a supportive experience for Cacausian/White/European Americans to step into becoming an Ally of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. You do not need to be a part of ZCO or any spiritual/religious group in order to participate. For more information: www.zendust.org, search under calendar and awakening to whiteness.**
***I am accepting new clients who feel that their climate change anxiety is impinging on their well-being. I will use a collaborative approach, combining curricula developed by Thomas Doherty, PsyD and his Eco and Climate Conscious Therapy Training and Consultation Group, and my training in cognitive behavioral/body-centered modalities to assist you in living more harmoniously with our changing world.***
